“My time at Sheridan taught me how to work with different types of people. Especially in storyboarding where you have to work in a team. I think it’s just a place where I found my tribe of people. I found my friends that [...] I still keep in touch with seven years later – like-minded people that care about the things I care about. We push each other constantly to try to get better.”

Research and

Incubation Centres

Sheridan has a reputation for pioneering new technologies and programs. This spirit led to the creation of our five Research and Incubation Centres, where students, industry, community, government and faculty collaborate to advance knowledge and solve problems.

Take a look inside one of Sheridan’s research centres

Comedian and podcaster Ali Hassan was recently able to experience the innovations to come from Sheridan’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies (CAMDT) first-hand. Sheridan students have played an active role in much of the extraordinary work to come from CAMDT, from 3D-printed Personal Protective equipment to AI-powered virtual assistants. As Ali says: Great things happen at CAMDT.

Centre for Indigenous Learning and Support

The Centre for Indigenous Learning and Support is an inclusive space for you to make friends and access support. It’s part of Sheridan’s commitment to support the academic and personal success of all Indigenous students: First Nations, Métis and Inuit.

Equity, diversity

and inclusion

Sheridan’s campuses are safe spaces where everyone can thrive. Our diverse community is home to persons whose identities intersect in many ways, including gender, race, ability, sexual orientation, culture and faith.

Racial justice

Sheridan denounces historical and institutionalized injustices that disproportionately impact Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) and acknowledges that people of privilege have an obligation to disrupt and deconstruct systemic bias. We continue to take actionable steps such as required anti-oppression, anti-racism and unconscious bias training, hiring BIPOC faculty, creating bursaries for Black students and intentionally engaging racialized community members to inform our future actions and assess our efficacy.

Game-changing difference

Once you’re empowered by cutting-edge knowledge, applied research and career-focused learning, you’ll be ready for anything. As you become a strong, resilient thinker, prepared to lead and collaborate, you’ll start seeing complex issues for what they really are: new opportunities to make a difference.
